A event held at Cloak on Thursday 31st October. The event starts at 20:00.

Calling all ghouls and ghosts, creeps and freaks, the deranged, the perverted, and their spawn to the SECOND ANNUAL GAY24 HALLOWEEN SPECIAL. We have once again prepared a delicious selection of blood curdling, gut churning, skin prickling cinematic experiences for your enjoyment (?), and enthusiastically invite you to join us in our revelry. Our program this year seeks to uncover the queer delights found in Japan's notorious pink film and straight-to-video markets; boundary pushing scenes in which all manner of perversions can be satiated, if an adventurous audience member knows where to look. As always, costumes are extremely encouraged but not mandatory.

Our opening feature is the fourth entry in the infamous Guinea Pig gore series, DEVIL DOCTOR WOMAN; starring Pītā of early trans cinema masterpiece Funeral Parade of Roses in the titular role. Situating itself firmly at the slapstick end of the Guinea Pig spectrum, the film follows Dr Pītā as she takes us through her roster of increasingly bizarre patients. Look forward to being exposed such cases as the family suffering from Congenital Brain Explosion Disease, a yakuza with a sentient tumour, a tattoo that freely roams the body of its wearer, and a salaryman at war with his own hand. Dr Pītā has cures for all horrors, though they might not be exactly what her patients had in mind...

We'll be following that up with a truly debased trip into the world of gay pinku with BALLADS; a horror softcore porn flick set in Japan's hardcore punk scene. After his lover dies in a freak motorcycle accident, our hero has hung up the guitar in favour of working at a seedy video shop. Seemingly destined to spend the rest of his days selling illegal BDSM tapes under the counter for his deranged yakuza bosses, his life takes a turn when he checks out one of the new tapes, and finds a snuff film starring his long-thought dead boyfriend. This one is by far the most depraved we've gotten here at GAY24 so far, and I'm excited for it to worm its way into our collective brain. True freaks only, you've been warned!

Entry requirements: 18+
