Foam Clay Creatures - Adult Workshop at Clifton Suspension Bridge Visitor Centre
£15 - see website for details

A event on Tuesday 29th August. The event starts at 19:00.

Do you remember what it felt like to play without judgement? Well, thankfully artist Kazz Hollick does and would love to share it with you in this easy-going evening workshop. Join us for an adult-only playful arty session, where we do some making with Unicornfest’s Neuro-disco-corn!

It will be an evening of no-pressure creative fun - sculpting and making with foam clay, a quick-dry clay that feels squishy and satisfying (without leaving an icky feeling on your hands), so it's excellent to play with even without making something.

There will be a few options for making, depending on how you feel - free play to make a little support creature to take home; a cute cloud, rainbow or fried egg; or explore how it feels to be you and make a little sculpture about your brain's quirks (it can be really freeing!). Kazz will have some examples to show you and worksheets with questions to jog some ideas, so you won't be alone with it. We'll have magnets, badges and jewellery pieces so you can turn your creations into something to enjoy at home.

There will be a range of templates and examples, so you don’t need to have any ideas ready, and you don’t need to have a single bit of experience or skill. But if you’d like to be prepared, you could think about what you’d really like to accomplish before you leave, or think of making a gift for someone, or exploring a specific idea.

Come as you are, and go with your mood - Tears accepted, quietness accepted, loud swearing accepted, laughter and utter frivolity accepted. We feel it's important for adults to have an open space to play, and feel free to let those weird ideas out.
