Hey there! My name is Ali and I am thrilled to welcome you to my new evening guitar class and social for adults, held every other Thursday at the wonderful Clifton Community bookshop!

I have been inseparable from the guitar for nearly twenty years, beginning to learn the instrument when I was seven years of age and studying for eleven years before starting to teach at my first school when I was eighteen. Since then, I have taught at six different schools, become a tutor with Your Guitar Academy and taught private students between the ages of six - seventy.

Inspired by the joy and sense of community that comes from being a musician, my intention with this class is to create a fun, relaxed learning environment, where you can socialise with fellow guitarists, learn the key skills required as a musician as well as your favourite songs, and provide a guitar ‘agony aunt’ for any of your playing gripes and grudges!

All beginner - intermediate players welcome, with a minimum of one year’s playing experience suggested. Simply bring an acoustic guitar and enjoy!
