Join exhibiting Artist Amber Bardell for a chance to explore their mindful drawing techniques and a bespoke meditation at the Umber Exhibition.

The basis of the workshop is an introductory meditation, followed by a drawing workshop. In the workshop you will get an introduction to using drawing as a technique for grounding and centring yourself, as well as being playful with a variety of experimental exercises. The workshop will be bespoke to the exhibition, taking inspiration from the artwork surrounding us and the autumnal theme.

Our venue is the wonderful Centrespace gallery (different venue to photos), please note that the exhibition will be open to the public whilst we host this workshop, so a level of background noise and viewership should be expected. This means we will lean in to the relaxed atmosphere, and enjoy it as part of the ambience.

Playfulness is very much encouraged in this workshop. Materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own materials too (expect pencils, crayons, paper and some mixed media to be provided, they may vary in each session). A sketchbook is recommended if you have something you usually like to work in, our paper is mostly A5 sized but you can do this in whatever format feels good for you.

In the workshop you will gain insight in to an approach rather than a classical art class, and have opportunities to ask the artist questions throughout.
