A
event
held at Cafe Kino
on Wednesday 23rd October. The event starts at 19:30.
Queer film weirdos GAY24 have teamed up with sapphic gourmets DYKE FLAVOURS to curate an evening of decadence and deviance in service of raising much needed funds for DANDELION; Bristol's DIY hormone therapy guardian angels.
Dyke Flavours (a new supper club featuring incredibly hot chefs you may know from Two Trees Catering and Cafe Kino) will open the evening with a meticulously curated and expertly crafted three course vegan feast. Expect to be surprised, delighted, and leave fully satiated by these experts of their field - you just have to lay back on your little pillow and eat what you're told. 100% satisfaction guarantee.
Following that, GAY24 have pulled some strings to bring you the rare opportunity to see two incredible new films from the trans underground.
After blowing the roof of the cinema at its TILDE Melbourne screening, GAY24 is once again incredibly proud and excited to present the Bristol premiere of Henry Hanson's instant classic DOG MOVIE; in which a tenderqueer couple sends their household into a quiet tailspin when they adopt an elderly dog with the same name as their unemployed couch surfer. Come experience the film that led to the dissolution of several queer sharehouses and was described by one Naarm viewer as "extremely funny in a psychically obliterating way".
Preceding that will be the UK premiere of Milo Talwani's THE BEACH BOYS; a chill-out road film in which two trans surfer dudes decide to catch one last wave while on their way to suicide bomb Jeff Bezos.
Both films will be screened with English subtitles. Full menu details will be published closer to the date.
Screening-only tickets are also available, for those of you who'd prefer to feed yourselves. There will be a very limited amount of low-income spots available for the meal. Free entry to the film screening for trans people; just pick that option at checkout<3
