Creative Writing Feedback Workshop at Cafe Kino
See event details

A event held at Cafe Kino on Monday 14th April. The event starts at 17:30.

TOP EVENT FEATURED ON THE BRISTOL CABLE

Come meet us at Cafe Kino, table upstairs (space permitting). We will meet and share our writing in small groups or pairs and offer feedback. Each person can set how much they want and what they are looking for. You are also welcome to come read your work and ask for no feedback if you prefer. If you have never given feedback before, don't stress! It can be as simple as asking the writer to talk more about characters, images, or even specific words!

Schedule:
5:30 - 6:00 → Meet, Greet and Set Up.
6:00 - 7:00 → Pair/Group feedback sessions.
7:00 - 7:30 → Open reading (optional!).

To join us, please grab a free ticket here so we can get a sense of numbers, and we will email you a link to join the Bristol Writer's Network WhatsApp Group.

Sharing Your Writing:
We encourage participants to upload their writing in advance to our Online Communal Writing Notebook: https://board.net/p/Bristol_Writers_Network. Instructions on how to use it are available on the pad. Please add a note at the start indicating that your upload is for the 3rd March Feedback Workshop, and take a look at other people’s writing as well!

We will use this pad to access the writing on the day of the workshop. This also allows people who need more time to read—such as those with English as a second language—to prepare in advance.

If you prefer not to upload your work, please bring printouts for others to read or contact us via WhatsApp so we can print copies for you.

Guidelines for submissions:
Please keep each piece under three pages (it can be an extract of a longer work).
If you have multiple pieces, list them in order of priority.

After the group work section, there will be time at the end to share your writing with the whole group if you want to.

We hope to see you there!
