held at Cafe Kino
on Friday 24th January. The event starts at 19:30.
Double header show featuring Bristol-based songwriter Fritillaries and special guest march on 24 January. This is a rare chance to catch Fritillaries with a full band playing new songs from her next album (yet to be announced) ‘The Magician’. Joined by dreamlike alt-folk/indie singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist march on her ‘Cross St Demos’ EP tour.
‘The Magician’ is an exploration into the tarot card of the same name. Hannah (Fritillaries) is currently forming this new collection to explore the interplay between creativity, health, perfection and illusion. This one off show is a part of this formation, a part of creating what the album will become.
march joins us following her self-produced EP Cross St Demos, a beautifully arranged collection of work that showcases her melodic ingenuity and gorgeously perceptive songwriting.

FRITILLARIES
Fritillaries is the original project of contemporary folk songwriter Hannah Pawson, a Bristol-based musician using guitar and banjo. Taking her name from the Snake’s Head Fritillary, a flower of rebirth and hope, Hannah weaves worlds into her songs.
Fritillaries’ debut album was nominated for FATEA’s debut album of the year for 2022, was chosen as Folk Radio UK’s album of the month, and received reviews from RNR magazine, Folk Radio UK, Folking and Americana UK among other publications. Her music has been featured on BBC Radio 6, BBC Radio 2, BBC Bristol, BBC Wales and BBC Devon.

MARCH
march is the alias of singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Kitty O’Neal. Blurring the lines between alt-folk and indie, march infuses her diverse musical influences and compelling songwriting into a distinctive and emotive performance. She weaves autobiographical themes into her music, building melodic gems with introspective lyrics and unexpected yet thoughtful harmonic shifts.
Her self-produced EP Cross St Demos was released in November 2024 via Frictionless Music, with a sold-out launch at SJQ London, and has been supported by BBC Introducing, Soho Radio, and Americana UK.
