on Saturday 7th December. The event starts at 14:00.
This December, the sounds of festive cheer will fill Cabot Circus as the ‘Sing for Happiness’ Christmas Choir performs a special set to raise funds for 1625 Independent People. The performance will take place on Saturday 7 December from 2 to 3 pm in the main atrium (Upper Ground, above Tortilla and Typo).
Led by St George’s Bristol, the choir is part of a groundbreaking project exploring the mental health benefits of singing. The event promises uplifting music and a chance to spread the true spirit of Christmas by supporting young people at risk of homelessness.
While the holiday season brings joy and comfort to many, it’s a starkly different reality for thousands of young people. A recent survey conducted by 1625 Independent People revealed that 2 in 5 young people aged 18-24 in the South West have worried about becoming homeless. Homelessness doesn’t just mean a lack of shelter—it means living without the safety, stability, and guidance needed to build a brighter future.
Your Support Can Change Lives
1625 Independent People is on a mission to ensure every young person has a safe place to call home and the opportunity to thrive. Donations raised this Christmas will go directly toward providing secure housing, vital support, and a sense of belonging for vulnerable young people.
If you can’t attend the choir performance but want to make a difference, you can donate now to help prevent youth homelessness.
Make Double the Difference (3–10 December)
For one week only, from 3–10 December, donations made through the Big Give Christmas Challenge will be doubled, meaning your support will go twice as far. Help us reach more young people and provide them with the resources they need to build a brighter future.
