After a two-year hiatus from the live circuit, Johnny Flynn has announced a July solo headline UK tour. The dates will provide an opportunity to hear new material from his forthcoming third album, further details of which will be released soon.
The past couple of years have seen Flynn acting in theatre productions. Along with appearing in Jerusalem, 'one of the best dramas of the 21st century' (The Guardian). Johnny has delighted audiences with performances in The Heretic (Royal Court), Richard III, Twelfth Night (alongside Mark Rylance and Stephen Fry at the Globe and in the West End) and is about to finish The Low Road at the Royal Court. His performances in The Heretic and Jerusalem earned him Olivier, Evening Standard and What's On Stage Award nominations, and he is currently nominated for an Ian Charleson Award for his portrayal of Viola in Twelfth Night.
This summer sees the return of Johnny and his band The Sussex Wit, who will be performing at select festivals, specifically: Gentlemen of the Road Takeover (20th July) // Larmer Tree Festival (21st July) // Green Man Festival (18th August).
