Two visionary musicians, Fred Frith and Adrian Utley, come together for an extraordinary evening of sonic exploration.
Fred Frith, a pioneering force in avant-garde guitar, has shaped experimental music through decades of innovation, from Henry Cow to Massacre, Art Bears to Skeleton Crew and beyond. His ever-evolving collaborations span orchestral works, film scores, and improvisational duos.
Joining Frith is Adrian Utley, best known as a founding member of Portishead, who brings his rich history in jazz, film composition, and electronic soundscapes to Lantern Hall. From collaborating with renowned jazz saxophonist Larry Stabbins to scoring The Passion of Joan of Arc, Utley’s artistry knows no bounds.
Together, they create an immersive, unpredictable live experience — melding texture, rhythm, and raw musical intuition.
