Barimigol and sky kong kong present Mexican Street Food Festival is a new food festival run by Chef Wizzy of Sky Kong Kong: we will have cheap, high-quality food in a space where community can come together as well as form. The day will consist of food presented by Chef Wizzy, including Tacos, enchilada, Pozele, Sopes, Burrito, Tequito, loving Mole, Caesar salad As well as local organic honey, drinks and more. In Winter, depression, malnutrition and stress are at their worst due to weather and financial hardship. Especially for students and public sector workers like NHS staff and support workers. We want to help support these people and we hope that cheap food and free music in a beautiful space will help with that.
We will have live music and DJ sets.
Barimigol is a community interest company and project run by Wizzy Chung, wants to open a community supermarket in Bristol. let start with cheap but quality street food from around the world. Barimigol is named after the small village she used to live in with her grandparents in South Korea. It was a community that would come together to eat fresh, local food sourced from the allotments and forests. Barimigol is a project that hopes to continue these values of community and local fresh food through a non-profit community supermarket here in Bristol. It will offer cheap and high-quality food such as meat, fish, fruit and vegetables sourced from small businesses throughout Bristol that are an essential part of its heritage, all in one convenient location near the city centre. The food festival will raise money towards this project.
The food festival will be located at Bridge Farm which is hidden away on the shoulder of the M32, this great venue has a handful of beautiful buildings and a load of outdoor space to explore. Come celebrate Bristol’s heritage and cheer yourself on through autumn’s eve. It’s more important than ever on cold dark days to come gather around food and fire! (Can’t promise the fire, but it’ll be warm and cosy!) https://bridgefarmbristol.co.uk/
