Dr Amy Jeffs: Wild Launch at bookhaus
See event details

A event on Thursday 27th October. The event starts at 18:00.

We are extremely excited to have art historian + bestselling author of Storyland Dr Amy Jeffs in-haus! join us - 27th October
Amy will discuss her newest book Wild, Early Medieval tales. Amy will be in conversation with Dr Lucy Donkin, Senior Lecturer in History of Art (UoB)
In Wild, Amy Jeffs journeys – on foot and through medieval texts – from landscapes of desolation to hope, offering the reader an insight into a world at once distant and profoundly close to home.
From the Old English elegies to the englynion and immrama of the Celtic world – these are stories that largely represent figures whose voices are not generally heard in the corpus of medieval literature: women, outcasts, animals
