November! Some of us love the winter, but some of us know that as the days grow shorter and the light declines, we can start to find things tough. Together, we’ll dig into the past, present and the future. We'll honour the turn of the season, our various lineages and our feelings. We'll get curious about the complexities and richness of being human at this time in history.
Expect imaginative conversations, creative play, sharing good food, getting your hands dirty and enjoying the warmth of an outdoor fire.
Come as you are. No easy fixes, but an opportunity to rest and rekindle your curiosity for the world and prepare well for the coming winter.
How will you benefit?
Our aims for the day are you will leave feeling:
- nourished and prepared for the dark winter months
- more connected with those who have come before and those who will follow
- a greater sense of your place in the family of things
- clearer, lighter and more resourced
Taking care of yourself and others:
Participation in this group workshop will be with people of various ages and the day will involve some physical activities and emotional conversations to be conducted in a creative and caring environment. It will be therapeutic but it isn’t therapy. Please don’t come if you have any Covid/Flu/Cold symptoms. To all our health!
Access:
The space has muddy walkways and there are slopes, so it may be difficult for people with limited mobility.
This workshop is organised by KIN, an group of people that work and meet to support and resource grassroots community workers and provide useful and restorative events/programmes and alliances. 'Widening Circles' is Kin's public facing event programme.
