on Friday 10th September. The event starts at 18:30.
Come and gather for an evening of Traditional English Songs and Tunes with The Norfolk Broads and Tarren in the Boiling Wells outdoor Amphitheatre. The event is bring your own booze (corkage included in ticket price). We will be serving delicious wood fired pizzas on the night.
The Norfolk Broads (New album launch):
The Broads sing traditional songs from the British Isles and America, usually unaccompanied. They are drawn to songs that tell a story, and the people at the centre of those stories. From dark tales of murder and seduction, to ballads of love and hope, the Broads take these stories and reimagine them, their four-part harmonies bringing life back to long quiet words. The stories of women and their lives are a constant source of inspiration, and the Broads enjoy exploring this female side to the folk world.
Tarren:
Tarren is an ambassador for high quality, English Folk music. Through the incorporation of minimalist musical forms into traditional-inspired material, Tarren is producing music that draws the listener in, weaving intricate themes throughout tunes and songs that have the pulse of English music at its heart.
Tarren is made up of Bristol-based artists Sid Goldsmith (Jimmy Aldridge & Sid Goldsmith, Awake Arise), Alex Garden (The Drystones, Harriet Riley & Alex Garden) and Danny Pedler (Pedler // Russell). They combine cittern and concertina, fiddle, and accordion to create their music.
