The Parley of Instruments

Bristol Bach Choir

Gavin Carr, Conductor

Following the extraordinary success of his 2007 performance

of this masterwork in aid of Dorothy House Hospice, Gavin

Carr again brings together some of the world's finest soloists and

the leading period ensemble, The Parley of Instruments, with

his own celebrated Bristol Bach Choir in what promises to be

another landmark event, raising much-needed funds for the widely

respected charity.

Bach's magisterial St Matthew Passion, sung in the original

German, tells the story of Christ's final days, from his betrayal right

through to his death, in music full of drama and emotion.
