clubnight
held at Basement 45
on Saturday 8th February. The event starts at 22:00.
We are extatic to present the launch event for our new clubnight/project PULSEWAVE.
Showcasing some first-rate selectors of techno, electro, breaks, acid (and everything inbetween). Expect classy maneuvering of genres and fearless displays of rabid techno and electro.
Pat Hurley brings decades of expertise, blending US, European, and UK techno and electro, Jay Galligan channels the raw dynamism of Dublin’s legendary club circuit, while Tape Twelve infuses his techno, electro and breaks with the energy and style of London’s underground electronic music scene.
With the underground feel of Basement 45, we aim to deliver a unique dark energy in a benevolent environment that reflects our ethos: Fostering connection, inclusivity, and to craft a community of passionate music lovers.

JAY GALLIGAN (The Probe)
Growing up in late 90s and early 00s Dublin, Jay Galligan’s surefire instinct for catching a mood and manipulating grooves is no happy accident.
A talented musician in his own right, he evolved from guitar and grunge fuelled Indie shoegaze bands to a purveyor of full throttle Techno as waves of new mutant music ushered in a new era.
As a whole generation of ‘My Bloody Valentine’ fans started to listen to Detroit Techno. He found himself in the thick of Dublin’s movement: holding a residency at the legendary club ‘Electric City’ and his own night ‘Test’ for over 10 years.
No stranger to the dynamics of the dancefloor – he has played many times alongside the likes of Dave Clarke, Jeff Mills, Robert Hood, Ben Klock, Surgeon, Dopplereffekt & Regis. At a time when the Irish Techno scene was incredibly organic with a strong community vibe.
These days, Bristol is his home where he has turned his musical attention to producing finely crafted radio shows.
TAPE TWELVE (Pulsewave)
Moving to London from small town Ireland was the turning point that sparked the next phase in Tape Twelve’s musical shift. Being inspired by the London underground techno and electro scene in all its glory, his style quickly morphed into a tenacious and more vigourous version of its former self.
Making and playing hard-hitting techno and electro that grips and ravages the dance floor. He has had releases on several labels, presented various radio shows, runs his own club nights, Pulsewave and Silk, DJs and plays regular live shows around the UK and Ireland.
Tape Twelve started his music career in the early 2000’s, honing his craft of all things electronic. Maneuvering through genres, like trance, house, breaks, techno, electro, while acquiring inspiration and influence from his heroes, that has seen him arrive at a corner of dance music that he feels most comfortable.
