BASE Cafe: pay-what-you-can community meal at BASE
See event details

A event on Sunday 23rd March. The event starts at 18:00.

Delicious vegan dinners every Sunday 6-8pm, often with a film or discussion after the meal.

Food is first come, first served until we run out! We cook from donations so the meal varies each week.

Suggested donation £0-£5

The BASE Cafe Collective is an open, non-hierarchical group that's been cooking up a vegan revolution since 1995. The cafe is a space for people to come together, to cook and share food (and ideas!) in a non-commercial environment. In protest against capitalist exploitation we serve food on a 'pay what you can' donation basis.

The cafe is run entirely by volunteers on a not-for-profit basis. We believe in solidarity and mutual aid (working together and supporting each other) instead of charity, so we would love for you to join us in keeping this awesome effort going. If you would like to get involved come speak to us at one of our cafe events!

The cafe is one of many anarchist events and activities happening at BASE, from film showings and workshops, to clothes repair and a library! Check out basebristol.org and @baseinfoshop for more.

Accessibility:

The cafe takes place on the ground floor of BASE. The ground floor is on a split level divided by two steps, with two separate step-free entrances.

The accessible toilet is on the ground floor with step-free access through the back entrance of the building. It has grab bars on both sides and plenty of room to manouevre a wheelchair, but no alarm cord.

Entry requirements: no age restrictions
