Hush City - What do you do when you do you? at Ashton Court
£5 for up to 2hr £10 for up to 5hr £16 for up to 12hr

A event held at Ashton Court on Wednesday 8th January. The event starts at 09:00.

More giggling in the New Year!

"Hush City" is launching on the 8th of January (Wednesday) at Ashton Court, in the panelled lounges of the iconic Arts Mansion.

I invite you to "move in" for a whole day, focus & relax, work on your project, stretch your leg, make connections that don’t require small talk.

During "Hush periods" (45 minutes every hour):
- we keep the quiet
- disconnect from the web (devices on airplane mode & headphones are allowed).

Please arrive during the break - quarter to the hour between 8:45am and 7:45pm. If you arrive earlier, there is a heated waiting room where you can stay until the next Hush period starts.

You will find that despite these restrictions, "Hush City" allows a greater sense of freedom to express your authentic self as you move through the day, whether you want to read, knit, zone-out, draw, compose, breath or even have a nap, than other social spaces such as coffee shops, pubs, libraries and co-working spaces we are all familiar with.

⏳️ January 8th, 15th and 22nd, 9am til 9pm.
Cost: £5 for 2 hours, £10 for 5 hours, £16 for 12 hours.
Ages 16+.

I am a trained mime artist and Zen Buddhist practitioner. Drawing on my global experience from leading slow cycling bike rides in Bristol to extensive training in a Japanese monastery, I developed "Hush City" to create alternative, non-verbal ways of socialising. Neuro-divergent adults and people on the healing path may find the space particularly beneficial.

"What do you do when you do you?" - answers are only accepted in real-time acting out.
