Wild Recycling: Making the world a better place
Outside In provides a platform for artists who encounter barriers to the artworld due to health, disability, social circumstance and isolation.
During the darkest months of the year, finding spaces for appreciating the changing light is so important. This workshop, run by Outside In artist Mark Noble, offers the chance to learn how to paint landscapes at the moment light changes, during sunsets and moonrises. Using eco-friendly and found materials, this workshop explores how to decorate lampshades and brings the natural, wild environment indoors.
Mark Noble is an artist celebrated as the ‘Turner for the 21st Century’ and ‘Fine art painter of Light’, who brings fresh perspectives to often-overlooked aspects of life through his emotionally charged landscapes and abstract works. Based in Somerset, Mark’s creations evoke a melancholic yet spiritual beauty, with a delicate focus on the mystical and sublime.
Mark has been an Outside In artist since 2021, is an Ambassador and Step Up Leading Workshops Alumni. He also is the fine art ambassador for the Arts and Culture Network and has run workshops and classes for children and adults. His current work explores the climate crisis and considers how using recycled and found discarded objects including lampshades and coffee tables can reduce our environmental impact.
