"Outstanding" Fringe Review (Brighton)

A dramatic interpretation of Virginia Woolf's iconic lectures.

A Room of One's Own is an extended essay by Virginia Woolf based on a series of lectures she delivered at Newnham and Girton women's Colleges in Cambridge in 1928. A Room Of One's Own is an iconic feminist text championing the need for both a literal and figural space (Room) and financial independence for women writers within a literary tradition dominated by patriarchy.
