Rise in Song for Climate Justice at All Saints Clifton
See event details

A event on Friday 11th October. The event starts at 19:30.

Come and enjoy an upbeat, passionate evening of songs and music from the Climate Choir Movement. A lively programme includes rousing songs Sing Truth to Power, Let Us Stand, Eradicate Ecocide, and Patti Smith’s People Have the Power. Activist singer-songwriter Kimwei will bring charismatic pizzazz along with musicians Emmy Broughton on harp and jazz fusion from band Plant with Legs.

Since its beginning in Bristol in 2023 the Climate Choir Movement has burgeoned to 14 choirs around the UK and, most recently, the Zimbabwe choir, where drought is bringing devastation. Tonight is the CCM’s first ever fundraiser. Half the proceeds will go to the Zimbabwe Climate Choir, and half will go to the Climate Choir Movement in the UK. The movement brings awareness of the vital need for climate action to banks who fund fossil fuels, museums sponsored by oil companies, recently inside the Houses of Parliament, and at community events. Come and celebrate the movement that changes hearts and minds with music.

There will be interval refreshments and an auction. All welcome – no age restrictions. This is an accessible venue.

Entry requirements: no age restrictions
